Selznick's Vanguard Films, Selznick himself had little to do with the production, which undoubtedly pleased the highly independent Hitchcock. The grain present is natural, not overly processed, with a superb contrast showing a nice range of greys and whites, with deep blacks. Extra features are impressive, even by Criterion's usual standards Notorious is presented in a full frame transfer, as intended. This is a very impressive visual effort, thanks to some extensive restoration work that was involved.
